Standard Meters are mean average FWDC calibrated for operation from your existing
50mv/1000 Amp meter shunt either in place of or in conjunction with your machines
meter. Meters are preset but final calibration depends on accuracy of your existing meter
ordered for AC or FWDC signal input and different meter shunt ratings. AC/DC True RMS
meter is also available.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AM-22PM PANEL MOUNT CAT. #22022
1. AM-22 Panel meter was designed to replace an existing analog meter that has a 2.75” to 4”
diameter cutout.
2. Use AM-22 Panel as a template for locating mounting holes over old meter cutout by
removing 4 screws from front panel circuit board standoffs.
3. Disconnect LED DPM connector (note Pin1) and remove calibration adj. pot panel holder
and Auto switch. Lay panel over your old cutout to clear LED DPM, Adj. and Auto Switch.
4. True up panel and mark circuit board mounting holes on your panel. Mounting holes are
3.1 X 2.8 inches.
5. Remount circuit board from inside panel by re-attaching DPM connector. (Red wire is pin 1
on left side of meter pins.)
6. Install Adj. pot holder and auto switch (with black wire down) back onto panel.
7. Screw 4 ea. 4-40 X ½ to circuit board stand offs to secure meter to your panel, then attach
AC power and meter shunt leads.
Operation
1.Meter calibration adjustment is recommended at about 1000 Amp point. Use small screw
driver to access adjustment in pot holder above meter.
2. DPM Auto Reset requires 100 Amp minimum input to update meter reading.
3. Auto switch will disable Hold function to check DPM zero 0.00 and Reset meter for Short
Test on MPI equipment and observe currents below 100 Amps.
